Our Story

Basketball has been my passion since childhood, from perfecting my jump shot in a Wisconsin driveway to competing throughout elementary school. Those early experiences taught me about teamwork, resilience, and community. Years later, I had the privilege of becoming an assistant coach for my child's team, rekindling my love for the game while helping young athletes discover their potential.

Throughout these experiences, I noticed something missing: dedicated spaces celebrating women's sports. Too often, I'd enter sports bars to find every screen showing men's games, even during exciting women's matchups. That's when Tomboys was born—a place where women's athletics take center stage, from the WNBA Finals to Iowa women's basketball.
